Welcome to Keep Somerset Blooming!
We are the owners of Weeds Garden Maintenance, a small, established business that has been running in Somerset for over 17 years.
Keep Somerset blooming was born 3 days into Covid 19 lockdown in 2020. The idea came from a conversation in a garden one morning. We were horrified to think there were local nurseries full of lovely plants with no route to market. We wanted to find a way we could help get plants from the growers out to the public at a time when everyone was at home spending time in their garden.
Following a post on our Facebook page offering deliveries of bedding plants and other gardening supplies, we realised very quickly there was a huge demand for plant deliveries to the doorstep. Keeping people safe at home in the sanctuary of their gardens with the ability to supply plants to them became our mission.
It’s got to be said, we love our plants and to see the happy faces of clients when they receive their delivery has been heartwarming in these challenging times.
Whilst we are relieved for the horticultural industry that garden centres have now opened we are hoping that ‘Keep Somerset Blooming’ is here to stay.
Remember it’s a new venture for us, we are a small team and we still have lots to learn but we are learning fast and will do all we can to add new products and services to our business as we grow.
